The Eco-value icon “Organic” enables you to identify product certified by an organization accredited by the Conseil des appellations réservées et des termes valorisants (CARTV), if it is a product of Quebec, or recognized by the CARTV if it is a product of origin outside Quebec.
Those products are made from organic raw materials or are agricultural products that meet the general criteria for organic farming:
- No use of chemicals such as chemical fertilizers, pesticides and herbicides, growth regulators and defoliants
- No GMO
- Certification (traceability) of the entire supply chain
The Eco-value icon “Organic” is not a certification in itself.
